Introduction to Trees by Howard Guest

The photographs that I will show are the first of a series of images on trees or more specifically the bark of trees. The photographs are really about the detail of bark, which when you start to look, is anything but the brown crayon feature of children's paintings. Finding the right bit of bark to photograph is about looking and seeing - about composition, form and colour. There are a vast array of trees out there, different genus, different species and different bits of bark...
